Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has stated that Ghanaian youth must not only be supported when they wear party colours.
Speaking at the second edition of the 2025 Kwahu Business Forum in the Kwahu South District, he underscored the importance of empowering local businesses, saying, “When we empower local businesses, we don’t just boost productivity — we create opportunities and open doors to jobs.”
The Member of Parliament for Effutu stressed the need to depoliticize entrepreneurship, arguing that it should neither be viewed through a political lens nor stifled by political actors. He urged support for entrepreneurs regardless of their political affiliations, highlighting the importance of bridging the gap between access to finance and entrepreneurial potential.
He further encouraged entrepreneurs to invest boldly in their dreams.
The forum was attended by President John Dramani Mahama, notable government appointees, key industry players, and entrepreneurs. It was held under the theme: “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector.”
The event sought to bring together financial institutions and private sector players to discuss investment opportunities, policy interventions, and strategies for building a resilient business landscape in Ghana.
