𝗕𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗖𝗘 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟯-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, Mr. Mathew Annor, has applauded the outstanding achievement of 13-year-old Jennifer Awuku.

She is a native of Tegare in the Bia West District and was recently crowned Best Player at the 2025 Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Schools Football Championship.

In a brief but heartwarming ceremony held at the District Assembly office on Monday, May 5, 2025, Jennifer proudly presented her trophy to the DCE.

She was accompanied by the Bia West Education Directorate, led by Mr. Dawood Dadzie, District Director of Education.

Mr. Annor congratulated Jennifer for her exceptional performance, describing her as a shining star and an inspiration to young athletes across the district and the nation.

“I am honoured to receive this talented young girl, who has lifted the name of Bia West and Ghana high on the continental stage. Jennifer’s hard work, discipline, and dedication are admirable. She is a role model for her peers, and I urge her to stay focused and continue to make us proud,” the DCE said.

He also assured her of the Assembly’s full support as she advances in her football career, promising to work closely with the Education Directorate and relevant stakeholders to nurture more talents like Jennifer from Bia West.

Jennifer Awuku’s remarkable performance at the CAF African Schools Football Championship has earned her national attention, with many calling for structured support to help her develop into a world-class footballer.
