𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶-𝗔𝗻𝗵𝘄𝗶𝗮𝘀𝗼-𝗕𝗲𝗸𝘄𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗖𝗘 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱

The confirmation of Sebastien Obeng, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly, has been postponed.

Initially scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025, the confirmation will now take place on Monday, April 14, 2025.

This decision was officially communicated by the office of the Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, citing an overlapping high-priority meeting that requires his presence on the original date.

The communiqué emphasized the importance of ensuring a smooth and dignified confirmation process, which necessitates his full attention and presence.

Daniel Kakyire Addae, Personal Aide to the MCE nominee, made the announcement in an official statement issued today, April 10, 2025.

He assured the public that despite the delay, the confirmation process will proceed as planned on the new date.

“I am writing to inform you that the scheduled confirmation of Sebastien Obeng as Municipal Chief Executive for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, originally set for Friday, April 11, 2025, has been postponed,” he sated.

“The Regional Minister has communicated that the confirmation exercise will now take place on Monday, April 14, 2025, due to an overlapping important meeting that requires his attention,” said Addae.

He also called for unity as the new confirmation date approaches and encouraged everyone to stay hopeful and engaged.

“I appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time. Let’s remain united as we look forward to the confirmation next week,” Addae concluded.

The confirmation of the MCE nominee is a critical step in local governance, development planning, and stakeholder coordination for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality.
