The Chief of Sefwi Oforikrom, Nana Kwabena Ofori Ababio, has made a heartfelt appeal to the general public and philanthropists to support the ongoing construction of a new housing facility for the Humjibre Orphanage in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

In a Facebook post cited by Sefwinews, Nana Ofori Ababio expressed deep concern over the current state of the orphanage, which has been providing care and shelter for underprivileged and abandoned children in the area.

He emphasized the urgent need for a befitting home to ensure the comfort, safety, and proper upbringing of the children.

“I appeal to the general public to assist the management of Humjibre Orphanage to get a befitting housing unit for our dear little ones in the children’s home,” he said.

“Kindly contact Hon. Enock Happy Enocks, the Assembly Member for the area, for any kind of assistance you can offer to support these children.”

The new orphanage building, which is currently under construction, aims to replace the existing inadequate structure with a modern and safe facility.

Once completed, it will provide a nurturing environment that promotes the welfare, education, and holistic development of the children.

Nana Ofori Ababio, who has previously made donations to the orphanage, reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children in the community.

He appealed to individuals, organizations, and benevolent groups—both home and abroad—to contribute in cash or kind toward the completion of the project.

He added that with collective effort and compassion, the Humjibre Orphanage can soon become a true home for the children who depend on it for hope and a better future.
