The Assembly Member for Dansokrom Electoral Area, Akolibah Joseph, has praised the Member of Parliament for Bia West and the District Chief Executive for bringing relief to the people of Ntonsue by ending what he described as a 20-year burden.
This follows the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 6-unit classroom block, a project aimed at improving educational infrastructure in the area.
The sod was officially cut on Saturday, November 22, by the Member of Parliament for Bia West, Mustapha Tanko Amadu, and the District Chief Executive, Mathew Annor.

Speaking in an interview with Debiso-based Vision FM, Akolibah Joseph said the community had struggled for decades with inadequate classroom space, a challenge that severely affected teaching and learning.
He explained that previous appeals to past governments yielded no results, leaving parents, teachers, and leaders frustrated.
According to him, the situation even caused Assembly Members in the area to be voted out after their first term due to community dissatisfaction.
He emphasized that the intervention by the NDC government has brought renewed hope, adding that the new classroom block will reduce congestion, improve academic performance, and restore dignity to the school environment.

Akolibah Joseph commended the MP and DCE for prioritizing rural educational development and assured them of the community’s full support.
He revealed that residents are ready to raise funds to motivate the contractor and ensure steady progress of work.
The project is expected to be completed within eight months, with community support expected to help keep the work on schedule.
Once completed, the facility will serve pupils from Dansokrom, Owarekrom, Sarfo Nkwanta, Twapiase, among other communities, expanding access to quality basic education across the area.
