The Western North Campaign Coordinator for Ken Ohene Agyapong, Mr. Vincent Pious Abekah, has condemned the destruction of billboards bearing the image of the former Assin Central MP in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency.

According to Mr. Abekah, the billboards — which were mounted at Ewiase Junction to project the image and message of Ken Agyapong — were found vandalized on the morning of Tuesday, October 29.

He described the act as “nonsense, unprovoked, and irresponsible,” and urged party members to remain disciplined and united.

Mr. Abekah alleged that individuals believed to be linked to another internal campaign group might have been involved, especially as former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to visit the constituency on Thursday, October 30.

“It is deeply unfortunate and utterly disappointing, the kind of internal politics some unscrupulous elements within our own party in Sefwi Wiawso have chosen to engage in,” Mr. Abekah said.

“As Ken Agyapong has always emphasized, our focus must be on party unity and cohesion as we prepare for the crucial 2028 elections,” he added.

He cautioned that such behaviour, if not stopped, could provoke reactions that might threaten the peace and unity of the party in the constituency.

“Let it be known that we will thoroughly investigate this matter to identify those responsible. The NPP stands for discipline, respect, and unity — not petty destruction and political intolerance,” he emphasized.

Mr. Abekah reaffirmed the Ken Agyapong campaign team’s commitment to promoting peace, respect, and internal harmony within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western North Region.
