Western North NPP Communications Director, Harry Addo, popularly known as Ogyaba, has urged aspirants and their supporters to run a clean, issue-based campaign ahead of the partyโ€™s 2026 presidential primary.

Speaking with AkuapemHann on Okyeame Radioโ€™s political show Adekyee Mu Nsem, Ogyaba emphasized the importance of focusing on policies and innovative ideas rather than engaging in personal attacks or divisive tactics.

His call comes at a time when political tensions are gradually building within the NPP, as several high-profile party members position themselves for the flagbearer slot ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The upcoming primary, expected to be fiercely contested, will ultimately determine who leads the NPP into the national polls.

Ogyaba stressed that a clean campaign would not only reinforce internal cohesion but also boost the partyโ€™s appeal to the wider Ghanaian electorate.

He further cautioned party members against spreading misinformation or engaging in smear campaigns, warning that such actions could hand political opponents, particularly the NDC, an advantage against the NPP.

โ€œAs the NPP prepares for its 2026 presidential primary, it is crucial that we show unity and discipline. A campaign based on ideas and policies will secure the confidence of Ghanaians and strengthen our chances in 2028,โ€ he said.
