Rex Asamoah Twum has formally announced his intention to contest for the position of National Chairman of the Cocobod Senior Staff Association (COSSA) under the Cocoa Health and Extension Division (CHED) of the Ghana Cocoa Board.

He currently serves as the National Organizer of the association and as CODAPEC/HI TECH Coordinator for CHED – COCOBOD in the Western North Region, where he oversees key programmes that support cocoa farmers through disease control, fertilizer distribution, and improved farming technologies.

With a career that began at the grassroots level, Asamoah Twum has built a strong reputation through years of committed service and leadership.

He started as Bibiani Cocoa District Chairman for COSSA, moved on to serve two terms as Regional Organizer, and later became National Organizer, the position he currently holds.

Rex Asamoah Twum’s declaration has been met with optimism by many within the cocoa sector, particularly among colleagues who have worked alongside him at various levels of the association.

His leadership is widely praised for its transparency, competence, and focus on member welfare.

The upcoming COSSA CHED national congress is set to be a defining moment, with Rex Asamoah Twum’s candidacy poised to influence the future direction of the association.

Backed by years of experience and a clear vision for progress — which he is expected to officially unveil in the coming days — he is widely regarded as a leading contender for the top position.
