Fast-rising Afro-Chill and street-hop sensation Datboy Chikez, originally from Sefwi Oseikojokrom in the Bia West District of the Western North Region and now based in Accra, has make a major statement with the release of his debut EP titled “ROAD UP DEH”, dropping which was released this Friday, May 9.

Datboy Chikez has been steadily building a name for himself in the underground music scene with a string of impactful singles, earning him street credibility and a growing fanbase both in his hometown and across Accra.

“ROAD UP DEH” is more than just a project—it’s a heartfelt musical journey. The EP fuses raw storytelling with infectious rhythms, exploring themes of life’s struggles, emotional pain, depression, heartbreaks, love, and resilience.

Each track is crafted to motivate young people to stand tall and push through life’s challenges, no matter how tough the road gets.

With a blend of Afrobeat, drill, trap, and emotional melodies, the EP resonates with those fighting silent battles and looking for a reason to keep moving. It’s a project with soul-music with a message.
