Debiso-based Soccer Lions began their Division Two League campaign with a hard-fought 3–2 win over Adjoafuaman FC at Nana Kofi Asare Park in Adjoafua.

Soccer Lions have maintained their dominance over Adjoafuaman since the 2024/25 season, winning two and drawing one of their last three encounters.

The game lived up to expectations, producing five exciting goals and end-to-end action right from the referee’s first whistle.

Soccer Lions broke the deadlock in the 36th minute when Ben Tano Okyere slotted home from a fine cross to give the visitors the lead.

Adjoafuaman FC came back stronger after the break, piling on the pressure in search of an equalizer. Their efforts paid off in the 50th minute when the referee awarded them a penalty, which Muntari calmly converted to level the score at 1–1.

The visitors restored their advantage shortly after, as Kojo Afful tapped in from close range to make it 2–1.

However, Adjoafuaman FC refused to back down and grabbed another equalizer through “No Shaking,” bringing the scoreline to 2–2.

Soccer Lions responded almost immediately, with John Okyere finding the back of the net just minutes later to seal a hard-fought 3–2 win and claim their first three points of the campaign.

Soccer Lions will be on standby in the next round of fixtures.
