Frank Nelson Ackah, the incumbent Assemblyman for the Asawinso ‘A’ electoral area in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, has pledged to deliver a new marketplace for local traders if he secures re-election.
This announcement was made during the launch of his campaign at Sefwi Asawinso ‘A’, where he assured the media of his commitment to enhancing economic opportunities for the community.
He emphasized the necessity for upgraded trading facilities that cater to the evolving needs of the community.
“I am deeply committed to the prosperity of Asawinso ‘A’, and I recognize the integral role that our local traders play in sustaining our community. If re-elected, one of my top priorities will be the establishment of a modern marketplace, providing our traders with a conducive environment to thrive and serve our community better.”
Frank Nelson Ackah acknowledged the challenges faced by the current marketplace and stressed the importance of upgrading the infrastructure to meet contemporary standards.
He expressed his determination to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful realization of the proposed marketplace project.
“Our current marketplace has served us well, but it’s time for an upgrade. I have already initiated discussions with potential partners and investors who share our vision for a vibrant local economy. Together, we can transform Asawinso ‘A’ into a hub of commerce and create lasting opportunities for our traders and residents.”
Frank Nelson Ackah expressed that with the continuous expansion of Asawinso ‘A’, the establishment of a designated market day is imperative.
He believes this initiative can positively impact the neighboring communities, fostering increased business activity and overall productivity.
Highlighting his accomplishments, Frank Nelson Ackah pointed out the successful construction of a CHIPS compound, classroom block, electricity extension, and a mechanized borehole.
Speaking to the media, the market women of Sefwi Asawinso ‘A’ expressed discontent with the deteriorated state of their aged marketplace, citing a lack of expansion since its construction.
According to them, the over-aged marketplace has not seen any expansion since after construction, and as a result, traders are not been able to be accommodated at the place.
Despite these challenges, they commended the Assembly member for the areaa, Frank Nelson Ackah, for his support in the renovation efforts and appealed to local authorities for the construction of a new market.
