Bia West Division Two Champions Adjoafuaman Football Club has won the Sefwinews Tournament back-to-back after defeating Justice Soccer Academy on Saturday.
The Champions has historically won the two competitions by beating clubs from those two host communities, thus Asuontaa in the 2021 edition and Elluokrom edition in 2022.
The Power Boys came from a goal down to beat Asuontaa Determination FC 2-1 in the maiden edition and won 1-0 against Justice Soccer Academy of Sefwi Ellukrom in this year’s competition.
The four-day tournament which marked the second of the Sefwinews Tournament, saw 12 football clubs competing for the glorious bragging right.
The 2021/22 Western Regional Football Association Super Middle League Finalist went unbeaten by picking five wins to lift the ultimate at Sefwi Elluokrom Town Park.
Meanwhile, Asuontaa Determination won 1-0 over Tegare Great Wonders in the third-place encounter after losing 0-1 to Justice Football Academy in the Semifinals.
The winner of this year’s tournament, Adjoafuaman Football Club, took home GHC 1,500.00 as prize money for the 2022 Elluokrom Edition.
Runner-up Justice Soccer Academy got GHC 1,000.00 while Determination FC had GHC 500.00 as the prize for third place.
