The Municipal Chief Executive of Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, Mr. Alfred Amoah has reiterated that the Municipal Assembly has done marvelous work that needs to be commended, rather than saying otherwise.
In an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng on Lord fm said the novel coronavirus which has ravaged the world and entered Ghana should be devoid of politics but find lasting solutions to it.
According to the Municipal Chief Executive, the assembly preparedness is unmatched as compared to some Municipalities within the country.
His rebuttal came when some elements within the Municipality have decided to take the assembly to the cleaners which he said was an orchestrated attempt to dent the image of the Assembly and the Western North Regional Minister.
“This is not the time to score any political points because it drives away Philanthropist who would want to donate to the Municipality with items needed to fight against CONVID-19 Pandemic”.
He also outlines the guidelines the MUSEC, Transport Unions, and Municipal Health Directorate have discussed so far to help after President Akufo-Addo declares the partial lockdown in Tema, Accra, Kasoa, and Kumasi. The security is on alert as to the number of passengers to be taken on board.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Director of Health at Bibiani government hospital hinted that all protective materials are available but will continue to appeal to the general public to also do their best help because the situation surrounding the COVID-19 virus is still pending without any timeline.
