Audio: “We render free emergency services” – National Ambulance Service states

The National Ambulance Service is an institution that assists in saving lives during emergencies like vehicular mishaps.

Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Ambulance Service Commander, Denis Kwasi Gyimah, has notified that his outfit provides free emergency to the general public, especially those in the Municipality.

He said they provide pre-hospital care for emergencies and attends to road accidents and domestic and industrial emergencies.

Also, they perform standby duties at mass gatherings upon invitation to care for unforeseen emergencies, adding that public sensitization is also part of their outstanding duties.

Speaking in an interview with AkuapemHann, he revealed that their services within the area are free of charge.  Meanwhile, the intra-hospital transfer of patients outside the municipality or region attracts fuel supporting fees.

On the other hand, Mr Gyimah indicated that the ambulance locomotes only for emergency purposes, saying the essence of blowing a siren is to make way for easy, fast mobility to save victims.

Therefore, he beseeched all road users, most especially, drivers to give way for them whenever they hear the sound.
