The Member of Parliament for Bia East constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Richard Acheampong continues to improve the living conditions of his constituents. He commissions a water project for the residents of Akosuanto, a farming community within the district last Friday.
Water is essential for the survival of humankind, but the residents of Akosuanto community used to trekked for a long distance before they can afford portable drinking water.
The district which was created by the late Atta Mills administration from the Bia West district lacks a lot of amenities. The Member of Parliament has continued in developing the area with the MP’s common fund.
The water project, which will serve the Akosuanto and the nearby communities have come at the right time for the residents do not have any portable drinking water in the area and therefore finds it difficult to get access to clean water to drink and to perform household duties.
The Presiding Member for Bia East and the Assembly member for Kwabena Nketaa electoral area, Hon Joseph Apraku thanked the MP for his support for the people within the area and urged the residents to practice the habit of maintenance culture.
There was full of joy in the community. Hon Richard Acheampong three years ago extended electricity from the national grid to the Akosuanto community.
