The Bia Zone of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has officially welcomed teachers, learners, education authorities, and community partners to the start of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The association has expressed optimism that the new school year will bring renewed energy and improved outcomes for students within the Bia East and Bia West districts.
In a press release signed by the Bia Zone Chairman-elect, Mr. Asemiah Kwasi, NAGRAT acknowledged the efforts of stakeholders in supporting education delivery and urged for stronger collaboration moving forward.
“We extend our appreciation for your commitment and support towards improving teaching and learning across our schools. As we begin this year, we hold strong hope that together we can achieve greater outcomes in literacy, numeracy, and overall student development,” the statement said.
The association highlighted the importance of unity, innovation, and dedication in addressing the challenges of the education sector. It stressed that collective efforts from teachers, school leaders, and community partners are crucial to raising standards and ensuring that learners in the zone have access to quality education.
To ensure a smooth academic year, the release noted that educational materials and other relevant information will be distributed to key stakeholders.
These include the District Directors of Education for Bia East and Bia West, Adabokrom Senior High School, Adjuafua Senior High School, Bia Senior High Technical School, School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs), head teachers, and other partners involved in education delivery.
Mr. Asemiah Kwasi emphasized that effective collaboration and active participation from all stakeholders remain critical for the success of the academic year.
He called on teachers to continue demonstrating professionalism and dedication in their classrooms, while urging parents and guardians to play a supportive role in their children’s education.
The Bia Zone NAGRAT also reassured learners of its commitment to advocate for their best interests and to push for policies and interventions that enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
The 2025/2026 academic year officially commenced on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and schools within the Bia Zone are expected to roll out activities that promote academic excellence, discipline, and holistic student development.
