Bibiani Gold Stars beat New Edubiase at Bekwai Gyamfi Park

New Edubiase United suffered a home defeat in the Ghana Division One League as they were beaten 2-1 by Gold Stars at Bekwai Gyamfi Park today, Friday, June 4, 2021.

The two sides were mindful during the first half which the virginity of the game could not be broken.

Back from recess, Gold Stars upped their game and got the opener through Bernard Agyemang in the 55th minute.

However, Prince Kwabena Owusu made it two for the miners in the 63rd minute to send the home fans into blisses.

The visitors kept their composure and defended very well until New Edubiase United got a cancellation in the 70th minute of the game.

The result has left Bibiani Gold Stars to maintain their stand on the league log as the miners lead with 53 points.

As their slogan says “More Gold, More Goals”, the club has scored 34 goals and conceded nine goals in 23 games.

Meanwhile, second-place FC Sarmatex will travel to Sekondi to face Hasaacas at Gyendu Park whilst Skky FC will host Unistar Academy at St. Martin’s Park, Daboase.
