Bibiani Goldstars secure away point at Karela United

Karela United and Bibiani Goldstars battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw on matchday eight of the Betpawa Ghana Premier League at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

The game commenced with an air of anticipation as both teams sought to secure valuable points in this competitive league.

Karela United made an early impact, breaking the deadlock just seven minutes into the match. Striker Evans Adomako demonstrated his finesse from the penalty spot, converting a crucial goal for the home side.

Nevertheless, Bibiani Goldstars were not to be outdone. Just before halftime, the visitors launched a spirited comeback. Charles Gyamfi found the back of the net in the 44th minute, leveling the score and breathing new life into the contest.

The second half saw both teams pushing for victory, creating numerous scoring opportunities. However, resolute defending and the efforts of both goalkeepers kept the scoreline intact.

As the final whistle blew, the match concluded in a 1-1 draw, with neither side able to seize the win.

Karela United had hoped to capitalize on their home advantage, but Bibiani Goldstars proved to be a resilient and challenging opponent throughout the match.

Following this draw, Bibiani Goldstars now occupy the 8th position on the league table, accumulating a total of 10 points. Karela United, on the other hand, slips down to the 15th position with 8 points.

As the BetPawa Premier League moves forward, both teams are set to face new challenges in week 9. Bibiani Goldstars will host Accra Lions at Dun’s Park on Sunday, November 5, looking to capitalize on their recent form.

Meanwhile, Karela United will welcome Accra Hearts of Oak to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Saturday, November 5 hoping to regain momentum and secure a much-needed victory in front of their home crowd.
