Bibiani Goldstars take on Dreams FC in 2022/23 GPL opener

Bibiani Goldstars will play Dreams FC at Dun’s Park to open the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Miners experienced just three home losses in their inaugural Premiership campaign last season to Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and WAFA. They are anticipating a successful outcome versus Dreams FC at home.

Bibiani Goldstars defeated Dreams FC in their first trip to the Western North region of the 2021–2022 season, 1-0, on the strength of a goal from Farouk Adams.

Coach Michael Osei declared before the game that his team was ready to continue their remarkable home-winning streak in the Ghana Premier League.

Furthermore, because Kwaku Duah left to join Ethiopian Coffee SC, Micheal Osei will have to start the season against Dreams FC with new centre-backs.

As a result of the acquisition of Mawuli Wayo and Ibrahim Laar, Bibiani Goldstars won’t be missing the services of their leading scorer from the previous season, Prince Opoku Agyemang.

Dreams FC, who avoided relegation last year, is aiming for a perfect start against Bibiani Goldstars at their stronghold, but it might be a challenge for them despite adding young players to their roster.

Ignatius Osei’s side underperformed in the previous campaign, and there will be high expectations for his team when they take on Bibiani Goldstars in their season opener. Injury has kept Bibiani Goldstars defender Farouk Adams out of the running.

The addition of Charles Owusu, Lord Bawa Martey, Eric Danso Boateng, Abdul Aziz Issah, George Asuako, Wisdom Yevu, David Van Dijk, and Samuel Arthur to Dreams FC’s roster also strengthened it.
