Bibiani Goldstars take on Karela United in midweek clash

Bibiani Goldstars will trek to Tamale to face Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Thursday, November 2, in week 8 of the BetPawa Premier League.

The visiting team, Bibiani Goldstars, has found themselves in a series of home draws, with their last two matches ending in stalemates against Heart of Lions and Heart of Oak.

They are now eager to shift the momentum and clinch a coveted away victory.

In their away fixtures this season, Goldstars’ performance has been a mixed bag, with one draw against Bofoakwa Tano and two losses to Great Olympics and Berekum Chelsea.

Karela United has encountered challenges at their new home venue, despite beginning with a win against Berekum Chelsea.

Subsequently, they have settled for draws in games against Great Olympics and Bofoakwa Tano, raising concerns about their consistency in their new surroundings.

Meanwhile, the week 8 fixture marks the first encounter between the two teams since Karela United relocated from Aiyinase to Tamale.

Their previous interactions in the BetPawa Premier League have been evenly matched, with both sides winning their respective home games, resulting in two victories each.

As things stand on the league table, Bibiani Goldstars currently occupy the 10th position with 9 points, while Karela United is positioned 13th with 7 points.

With only two points separating the teams, this match presents an opportunity for either side to climb the league ladder and solidify their position.
