Mr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah, an Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Bodi Constituency, has launched his election campaign with a promise to transform the lives of the youth in the area.
He also launched his manifesto and outlined his vision for the constituents ahead of the 2020 general elections.
Prior to the launch, the supporters of the candidate dressed in branded T-shirts went through the principal streets of Sefwi Afere and Bodi amidst dancing and drumming.
Speaking at the launch on Sunday, November 22, in Sefwi Bodi, Mr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah pen down his policies before the electorates as he hopes to reduce the unemployment and illiteracy rate in the constituency.
According to him, the constituency was clamouring for a drastic political change and that he is the best option to provide quality leadership to improve the wellbeing of the people.
He said if, given the nod, he would lobby for the establishment of a Nursing Training College in Bodi to pave way for the youth in the area to pursue higher education.
He pledged to set funds to support Private Schools, construction of football academy, construction of an ultra-modern ICT Centre in Bodi and other parts of the district and enrol apprenticeship programs to reduce the illiteracy rate in the constituency.
Mr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah stated that he would work tirelessly to reduce the unemployment rate in the area by lobbying for the youths in the recruiting of personnel into the police service, military, fire service, immigration service and others.
He said pragmatic efforts were needed to pave the way for modern agricultural practices to boost production in the area. He pledged to help farmers with an improved variety of cocoa, rice seeds and farm inputs to increase production.
Mr Owusu Ansah also made mention of some of his policies which include the construction of roads, policy to enhance individual businesses, especially women which would improve the standard of living in the area.
Ha said all indications show that he has won the Parliamentary elections in advance due to his tremendous work towards the constituents.
