Dwenase Golden Boys return to Division Two League

Golden Boys has secured promotion to Division Two football after winning the 2020/21 Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Football Association Division Three League.

The Sefwi Dwenase based club was crowned champions after defeating Mighty Stars 2-0 in the finals of Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Super Middle League held at Gliksten Park.

The Pride of Sefwi Wiawso last competed in Division Two League in the 2011/12 season.

Despite losing the finals to Golden Boys, Nsawora Mighty Stars has also qualified to Division Two League along with Memphis Football Club, who defeated Mighty Worriers 3-1 in the third-place fixture.

The three clubs will join seven others in Sefwi Wiawso Zone ahead of the 2021/22 Western Region Division Two League.

Golden Boys returns to compete with Anokye Stars, Kofis Fc, Boako Nationals and others in the Zonal phase, whilst newcomers Mighty Stars and Memphis Football Club will have their maiden season.

Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Football Association has the highest number (10) of Division Two League clubs in the Western North Region.
