The Ghana Football Association (GFA) in collaboration with Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) has successfully held the District Football Association Elections.
The Elections were held on Thursday, February 13, 2020, across all districts in the country.
Ebenezer Yeboah, the incumbent Municipal Football Chairman for Sefwi Wiawso retained his seat after a successful election held at Ɛnni Yɛ Nna lodge in Sefwi Asawinso.
Six (6) delegates were supposed to vote but the Referees Association delegate was absent of which five delegates voted. After the elections, Ebenezer Adu Yeboah who went unopposed swept all the votes which represent 100%.
Elder Michael Laryea, a veteran football administrator in the Western North region was delegated to supervise the elections by the Western Regional Football Association (RFA).
Ebenezer Adu Yeboah addressing the congress at Ɛnni Yɛ Nna lodge in Sefwi Asawinso asked club administrators to engage themselves in the development of Sefwi football till we embrace the Western North Region Football Association (RFA).
According to him, his main focus is to empower colts and women’s football in Sefwi Wiawso and Western North Region as well.
A representative from RFA, Elder Michael Laryea advised the elected chairman to focus on his mission and also asked club administrators to work hard for the growth of Sefwi football.
