Eight aspirants have submitted their forms to contest for the position of Bia West District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Western North Region.
The candidates underwent a two-day interview at the Rockyeast Event Center in Sefwi Wiawso, after which three candidates will be shortlisted and presented to the President for nomination as DCE.
The eight candidates who picked up forms are:
- Nana Ahmed Musah: Constituency Chairman
- Mr. Alexander Senwu (Messiah): Constituency Secretary
- Mr. Abdul Musah: Former Bia West District Assembly Presiding Member and former Assembly Member for Manza Electoral Area in Sefwi Oseikojokrom
- Mr. Alexander Ofori: Former Bia West DCE under the John Mahama administration
- Mr. Garvy Eric: Bia West Constituency Director of Elections and IT
- Mr. Annor Mathew: Constituency Organizer
- Martin K. Fosu: Deputy Constituency Organiser
- Charles Asiamah: Branch Manager & Campaign Manager Mustapha Amandu Tanko during 2024 general elections.
The Western North Region’s vetting process aimed to identify the most suitable candidates for the DCE position. The shortlisted candidates will undergo further evaluation before the President makes the final nomination.
It’s worth noting that the Bia West constituency has been dominated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since 1993.
The outcome of the DCE nomination process will be crucial in determining the direction of the Bia West District’s development.
The selected candidate will play a vital role in implementing policies and programs that benefit the local community.
