Bibiani Goldstars have signed Former ASEC Mimosas defender Richmond Opoku Manu.
The miners re-signed the centre-back from Burkinabé football club Association Sportive du Faso-Yennenga (ASFA Yennenga) on a one-year deal with an option for a further season.
Richmond played for the pride of the Western North region in the 2015/16 Division one league before moving to the Ivorian Ligue 1.
He becomes the club’s latest signing of the summer following the additions of Atta Kusi, Empem Dacosta, Laar Ibrahim, Goalkeeper Joseph Baah, Shafiq Muntari and others.
With his experience in the Ghana Premier League, Ivorian Ligue 1 and Burkinabé Premier League, Manu is expected to be a key part of Coach Michael Osei’s team next season as they eye the top four finish.
The 26-year-old has previously played for GPL giants Asante Kotoko SC, Sporting Gnagnoa, Africa Sports FC and ASEC Mimosas in Côte d’Ivoire.
