Friends of Bawumia congratulates Dr. Opoku Prempeh on his Running Mate appointment

Friends of Bawumia Foundation in the Western North Region has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) following his recent appointment as the running mate to Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

The foundation lauded Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s illustrious career in public service and his notable contributions to education reform, which have resonated deeply with the aspirations of Ghanaians across the country.

Speaking to Kwame Kentor Boateng, Dr. Francis Xavier Sosu Andoh-Adjei, the 2nd Deputy Regional Coordinator and secretary of the Western North chapter of the foundation, emphasized Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s dedication and hard work in advancing the party’s agenda and garnering support for Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy.

He highlighted the pivotal role played by the foundation in mobilizing grassroots support and spreading the message of the NPP’s vision for the nation’s future under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh.

The foundation reiterated its commitment to championing the initiatives and vision of the NPP’s dynamic leadership team, emphasizing their readiness to collaborate closely with party structures across the Western North Region.

This collaboration includes working with regional executives, constituencies, and Members of Parliament to ensure a vigorous campaign aimed at securing victory for Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh in the December 7 elections.

Dr. Francis Xavier Sosu Andoh-Adjei further underscored the foundation’s pledge to mobilize all members and supporters of the NPP, as well as the general public, to stand united and offer unwavering support to the party.

He invoked the words of former President John Agyekum Kufour, urging all stakeholders to prioritize the collective goal of maintaining governance and advancing the nation’s development agenda, echoing Kufour’s sentiment that “it is better to be a messenger in a ruling government than to be a general secretary in opposition.”

Looking ahead to the 2024 general elections, the foundation expressed confidence in the leadership capabilities of Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh, describing them as a dynamic and visionary duo poised to steer Ghana towards greater prosperity and progress.

They called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the NPP’s leadership team, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in achieving national development goals.

In conclusion, Friends of Bawumia Foundation affirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh throughout their campaign journey, pledging to intensify efforts to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in the upcoming elections.

They expressed optimism that under the leadership of Dr. Bawumia and his running mate, Ghana would continue on its path of growth, development, and prosperity for all citizens.
