The National President of the Ghana Association of Assembly Members (GAAM), Frank Nelson Ackah, is set to embark on a 3-day tour in the Western North Region starting January 21, 2025.
The tour will address key issues affecting local governance and assembly members in the region, as well as strengthen the influence of the association.
Frank Nelson Ackah’s regional tour is expected to not only address urgent issues but also galvanize support for his vision to serve as a representative of the Western North Region on the Council of State.
His leadership continues to inspire confidence among local leaders and assembly members, as he works toward advancing the region’s interests and development at both the local and national levels.
During an exclusive interview with Sefwinews, Frank Nelson Ackah, who also serves as the Assembly Member for the Asawinso ‘A’ Electoral Area, outlined the major topics that will be tackled throughout the tour.
One of the primary concerns raised by Frank Nelson Ackah is the ongoing delay in the payment of ex-gratia, a pressing issue that has sparked unrest among assembly members.
Frank Nelson Ackah will engage with stakeholders to discuss possible solutions and ensure the welfare of members is prioritized.
Another significant aspect of the tour is the election of new executives for the GAAM District & Municipal leadership. As part of the democratic process, the election of new leaders will be discussed to further strengthen the association and foster unity within the region.
In addition, Frank Nelson Ackah has expressed his ambition to represent the Western North Region on the Council of State, an advisory body to the President of Ghana.
During the tour, he will rally support from local leaders and community members while outlining his vision for the region’s growth and development at the national level.
To further promote unity and pride within GAAM, Frank Nelson Ackah will unveil the official GAAM T-shirt for members, a symbolic gesture aimed at strengthening the bond among assembly members across the region.
