Gold Stars falls, Sky slips as Samatex wins on match day 21

Bibiani Gold Stars tasted their first defeat in the second round of the Ghana Division One League on Sunday to Asokwa Deportivo at Okese Park, Ejisu.

Deportivo has given the ‘Gye Nyame Boys’ a tough run this season both at Bibiani Dun’s Park and Okese Park respectively.

Zone Two leaders had a point whilst the Kumasi based side secured four points from a possible 6 points in the two-leg affairs of the 2020/21 Ghana Division One League.

Second-placed Sky Fc, dropped points on the road on Sunday as they were held 0-0 by Bekwai Youth Football Academy on matchday 21.

Skyy has lost their place on the leg table to Samartex after the former Premier League side defeated their counterpart, New Edubiase by a goal to nil.

Bibiani Gold Stars leads Zone Two with 47 points in 21 games. Samatex moves a step ahead with 41 points whilst Skyy FC drop to third place with 40 points.
