Baba Yara Sports Stadium has become a fortress for King Faisal this season, after getting some good results, including two wins over city rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

King Faisal booked their seventh win at the venue after a 2-1 victory over Bibiani Goldstars on matchday 11 of the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Michael Osei made two changes in his team ahead of the clash while Coach Nurudeen Amadu of King Faisal retained his starting eleven that defeated Asante Kotoko in the round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup competition.

The fixture commenced leisurely with the two sides watchful in their half which they did not create goal-scoring opportunities within the early stage of the game.

It took King Faisal the 21st minute when Osman Ibrahim got the opener for the home side after receiving a pass from Baba Yahaya.

On the 35th minute, Zubeiru Ibrahim doubled the lead for the Inshallah Boys after he tapped in a cross from Osman Ibrahim.

A few minutes to end the half, Charles Kamara Gyamfi got a consolation goal for Bibiani Goldstars.

After recess, King Faisal upped their game, creating a series of chances but could not capitalize on those opportunities.

All effort by Bibiani Goldstars to get an equalizer was unsuccessful, including 67th minute opportunity missed by Prince Kwabena Owusu.

The win keeps King Faisal in second place with 23 points whiles Goldstars sits 10th on the league log with 13 points.
