Holy Stars has defeated Akropong United to reach the finals of the Western Regional Football Association Division Two Super Middle League.
The two side begun slowly until Holy Stars broke the virginity of the game in the 16th minute through a powerful free kick.
Attempts by Akropong United to equalise went wasted.
Unfortunately, a striker of the side was shown red card by Referee Clement Kwame Nkuah, claiming the player insulted him.
After recess, Akropong initiated several attacks but was denied by the reliable defence of Holy Stars.
The Nzema based club gathered their pieces together to get their second goal through a penalty kick.
Holy Stars continued their fine form in searching for third goal but a player of Akropong United got red card in the process after showing unprofessional art towards the referee.
This did not discourage them, they fought back to get a consolation through a penalty kick.
The nine men Akropong United were eager to equalise but Holy Stars counted on their weakness at the back to secure their third goal of the day.
The hope of Basake community shall face winner of Bis Paradise and Eleven Wise game on Sunday.
