Alexander Adu Quist, Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Juaboso constituency, has expressed his unwavering confidence in the Member of Parliament for the area, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh’s ability to excel as the Minister of Health designate.
Despite Akandoh’s lack of medical background, Quist believes he will do a diligent job, citing his impressive performance as the Ranking Member on Health in Parliament.
In an interview with Emmanuel Sowah on The Legend TV (Sefwi Juaboso based online Tv) Adu Quist recalled how people initially criticized Akandoh’s appointment to the minority health committee due to his non-medical background.
However, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh proved his doubters wrong, performing exceptionally well and earning recognition as one of the best Ranking Members.
Alexander Adu Quist emphasized that many individuals without prior experience in a particular sector have gone on to excel in their roles.
He praised President Mahama for appointing Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Member of Parliament for Juaboso constituency, as Health Minister, considering it an honour for their community.
Alexander Adu Quist, a potential candidate for the position of Juaboso District Chief Executive, has assured the people of the district that all abandoned and uncompleted projects will be completed under his leadership.
He pledged not to repeat the “bad deeds” of the previous administration, emphasizing his commitment to fostering development and progress in the district.
Adu Quist urged the people of the Western North Region to rally behind Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, praying for his success as Health Minister.
He believes that if Kwabena Mintah Akandoh succeeds, the government will reward the region with more appointments in the future.
It’s worth noting that Akandoh has been vocal about health challenges in the country in his role as the ranking member of health. His experience in holding public officials accountable will likely serve him well in his new role as Health Minister.
