Kotoko defeat Bibiani Goldstars at Dun’s Park

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have reached the last 16 of the Ghana FA Cup competitions after beating Bibiani Goldstars on Sunday.

In highly competitive clash, Bibiani Goldstars and Kotoko locked horns at the Dun’s Park in the Round 32 of the Cup competition, where the Porcupine Warriors prevailed with a narrow win to progress.

Youngster Peter Amidu’s goal set the Ghana Premier League giants on course to the last 16 of the FA Cup.

Coach Proper Narteh Ogum and his charges are currently on fire after shaking off a difficult start to the football season.

Having progressed to the round 16, the record league holders will aim to go for the ultimate at the end of the competition.

Kotoko will be chasing double this time around following their resurgence in the Ghanaian season.

The Porcupine Warriors, who had a slow start to the league season are now title contenders after finishing third in the first half of the season whiles the FA Cup title chase remains on course after securing a spot in last 16.
