Kwame Kontor Boateng adjudged Western North Best Radio Reporter of the Year

The host of Lord 107.1 fm Morning Show and News Reporter for Peace Fm, Mr. Kwame Kontor Boateng, has emerged as the  Western North Best Radio Reporter of the Year.

A dream that began at the reception of Lord FM, a radio station in Sefwi Bekwai, in 2013, was realised with the winning of the prize in Ghanaian journalism at the 2021 Western North Media Festival and Personality Awards held at Monnic Star Hotel, Bibiani, last Saturday.

Speaking with Kwame Kontor Boateng, he thanked the Almighty God and his listeners who supported him financially, spiritually and physically to win the award.

Kwame was happy that Lord FM’s image was lifted higher at the Awards Night and promised to work harder to achieve more for the media firm.

The versatile journalist earned the bragging rights after beating Awuku Addo of Okyeame radio, Natty Bongo of Liberty fm and Otafregya of Sunset radio to win the category.

The sensational Akosua Etornam won the Personality, female Journalist and female newscaster of the year award.

Hajia Nimatu Wakilu won the best Mid-Morning Show Host of the year and the General Manager of Lord fm, Kwaku Fosu, took home the manager of the year award.

The staff of the media house has promised to achieve more at the national level and lift the name of Sefwi Bekwai and Western North higher.
