LPG gov’t would base on merit, pragmatism and honesty for its governance – Akpalu reveals

The leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Percival Kofi Akpalu, has outlined strategic areas his political party would factor in managing the country’s economy if voted to power.

The Political steward indicated that the Liberal Party of Ghana would base on merit, pragmatism, and honesty for its governance as a ruling party.

Mr. Akpalu, who contested in the 2020 general elections, hopes to achieve his ambition of becoming the President of the nation after the 2024 polls.

Speaking to Awuku Addo on Okyeame Radio, he indicated that his party, when given the nod to rule Ghana, would assign positions to people who have knowledge about the institution or job they’re to manage, servants who are faithful to their duties and are pragmatic in leadership.

He again said they have prominent people who are far better than him and can deliver satisfactorily for development if power is bestowed on them.

Mr. Akpalu added that it is perceived the nation is in competition with the rest of the world therefore, “we have to do things that will help us compete with other countries.”
