Mr Martin Amidu on Monday, November 16, resigned from his position as Special Prosecutor.
He resigned because he does not feel that President Nana Akufo-Addo has done enough to protect the liberation of his office.
Some politicians and other opinion leaders have shared their thoughts on his resignation.
Whereas some said they were not astonished by his resignation, because of his defiant stance, others criticised him for the exploit, with others agreeing with his position that he was frustrated to take that action.
Meanwhile, the Bia West Parliamentary Candidate for the New Parotic Party, Mr Bernard Blay, has a different assessment about Mr Amadu’s resignation as Special Prosecutor.
In a Facebook post cited bySefwinews.com, Mr Bernard Blay said “Martin Amidu to me has just announced his intention to contest as an NDC Presidential candidate come 2024 elections,”
However, in December 2000 presidential elections, Mr Martin Amidu stood as the running mate to John Atta Mills, but they both lost to President John Kufuor that year.
