Mary Amponsah bags 12 goals as Ampem Darkoa remain unbeaten

Ghanaian striker Mary Amponsah has been in red-hot form in the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (GHWPL), finishing the first round with an impressive 12 goals in 9 matches.

Her outstanding performances have helped Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC remain unbeaten and top of the Northern Zone with 27 points.

The prolific forward has continued to shine after recently winning the 2024 Women’s Super Cup Top Scorer, further cementing her status as one of the best attackers in the league.

Expressing her gratitude, Amponsah credited her teammates for their support:

“I’m so grateful to my teammates, and I believe we can do more in the second round.”


Ampem Darkoa will play Prisons Ladies on Monday, 3rd February, at Ohene Ameyaw Park in their opening game of the second round of the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League (GHWPL).
