MFA Super League: Sefwi All Stars hammered Freedom Fighters in Benchemaa

The undefeated Sefwi All Stars Football Club trashed Freedom Fighters by two goals to nil in the first leg of the Sefwi Wiawso MFA Super League Semi-final at Bechemaa Sakasaka Park last Sunday.

Despite the impressive performance by Benchemaa Freedom Fighters in their group stage fixtures against Asawinso Anokye Stars in the two-leg affairs, the Juaboso based Sefwi All Stars surprisingly defeated them at their preferred venue. 

The 2019 Sefwi Wiawso Pre-Season Tournament holders, Freedom Fighters were shocked about the astonishing result that happened at Bechemaa Sakasaka Park last Sunday.

Sefwi All Stars Football Club has gone Seven games unbeaten in the ongoing Sefwi Wiawso MFA Super League, scoring 17 goals and conceded two.

During the early stage of the first half, Benchemaa Freedom Fighters mounted pressure on the visitors but their effort could not yield any results. All Stars defender Kennedy Abila, Gideon Anaba and Goalkeeper Prince Debrah established a wall that prevented the home side from scoring.

On the 38th minute, the top scorer of the ongoing Sefwi Wiawso MFA Super League, Emmanuel Asante Yeboah scored the opener for the visitors which marks his fourth goal in the competition.

The Fighters exhibition in the second half did not lead up to expectations regardless of enormous supports from their home fans.

Whiles Benchemaa Sakasaka Park was waiting for the equalizer; Daniel Ackom, a fourteen-year-old striker was introduced by Sefwi All Stars who broke the heart of many Fighters supporters by scoring the second goal on the 84th minute for the visitors.

His goal drove about two-third of Freedom Fighters Supporters from the field and this symbols his second goal in the race.

Sefwi All Stars will on Sunday 23rd February 2020 host Freedom Fighters Football Club in the second leg of the Semi-Final of the Sefwi Wiawso MFA Super League.

Meanwhile, Wednesday, February 2020 will see Insha Allahu welcoming Nkatieso Rocky Stars in the other Semi-Final fixture at Nana Osei Sarpong Park in Bonsu Nkwanta.
