Muslim Community set to establish Islamic SHS in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai

In a bid to enhance educational opportunities for Muslim youth, the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Muslim Council, led by Chairman Imam Mohammed Nuhu, has embarked on a significant initiative to establish an Islamic High School.

Imam Mohammed Nuhu, who doubles as the Deputy Chief Imam of the municipal, highlighted the primary objective behind the formation of the council during the first anniversary of the council.

He emphasized the urgent need to mobilize resources to facilitate the establishment of the school, which would cater for the educational needs of Muslim students in the area.

Speaking passionately about the initiative, Imam Nuhu expressed gratitude for the support received thus far, particularly mentioning a generous donation of 24 plots of land from a traditional council within one of the communities.

This contribution has enabled the council to commence construction activities, with unwavering faith in divine provision to complete the project.

During the gathering, Imam Nuhu took the opportunity to appeal for financial assistance from the attendees, seeking contributions to aid in the construction and development of the Islamic High School. His heartfelt plea resonated with the audience, resulting in a significant influx of donations.

Notably, the Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Alfred Obeng Boateng, pledged substantial support to the initiative. Representatives of the MP’s office announced a donation of 100 bags of cement.

On his part, Imam Muniru Adam, the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Imam, underscored the significance of education, particularly for girls.

He urged Ghanaians, especially Muslims, to prioritize education, emphasizing that it is the cornerstone of individual success.

Imam Adam emphasized the transformative power of education, stating, “Education is the light of the world. If a child, especially a girl, lacks education, they are deprived of their light.”

He stated that the outdated notion of confining girls to domestic roles should be discarded, advocating instead for their equal access to education at all levels.
