My worst performance was against WAFA at Dun’s Park – Goldstars Head Coach admits

Head Coach of Bibiani Goldstars, Michael Osei, has described match day 32 fixture against WAFA at Dun’s Park as his worst performing game in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

Bibiani Gold Stars were defeated 4-3 at home by West African Football Academy (WAFA) in their favourite home grounds and the majority of their supporters raised questions after the game.

Speaking at a press conference in Bibiani on accessing the club’s performance, Coach Michael Osei said he was surprised about matchday 32 results against WAFA after taking a two-nil lead in the first half.

According to him, he has not expressed such shocking results in his coaching career, and that led him to wept uncontrollably in the dressing after the game.

Coach Michael Osei revealed that the Technical Team was invited by the Management in an emergency meeting to explain why the team lost at home to WAFA.

He added that Mr. Akwasi Adu, Chief Executive Officer of the club, wasn’t happy with their performance against the Sogakope-based side at Dun’s Park.

However, the Head Coach of Bibiani Goldstars said their defeat to WAFA constituted their victory over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The miners finished 10th with a record of 13 home wins, accumulating 46 points from 34 games with 14 wins, four draws, and 16 defeats. The Gye Nyame scored 34 goals and conceded 40 goals.
