NDC has taken Western North for granted – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the National Democratic Congress have taken Western North region for granted despite enjoying absolute support of the people for years.

As part of his three-day tour of Western North Region, Nana Akufo-Addo in a radio interview on Liberty Fm in Sefwi Wiawso today said the region has continuously vote enormously for NDC, nevertheless, the umbrella party doesn’t care about the development of the region.

He explained that the residents are hardworking and, therefore, contributes massively to the growth of Ghana’s economy but the opposition National Democratic Congress has nothing to show for the tremendous support it has enjoyed from inhabitants of the Western North region.

Meanwhile, President Nana Akufo-Addo said the creation of Western North Region was to bring governance close to the people.

The President explained that decentralization of regional offices is a new module which will accelerate development among the people as Regional Education Directorate located in Bibiani, the Regional Agriculture Directorate in Juaboso, the Regional Feeder Roads in Aowin, and the Regional Highways Department established in Sefwi Wiawso, the capital of the Region.

President Nana Akufo-Addo said his government had performed woefully as far as Western North region is concerned, hence needed not to be rejected by the citizens in the upcoming December elections.

He, therefore, appealed to the people of the region to vote hugely for him and the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for at least gain 7 out of the nine seats.
