New power plant commissioned at Enchi College of Education

Enchi College of Education has taken a significant step toward energy efficiency and sustainability with the commissioning of a new 60KVA generator.

The power plant, supplied by Anointed Electrical Engineering Services, was officially unveiled during the institution’s matriculation ceremony on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

The new generator replaces an aging power unit that had been in use since 1991, marking a major upgrade in the college’s infrastructure.

This investment is expected to alleviate the financial burden of electricity costs, as the previous generator was connected to the national grid and incurred additional charges through electricity meters, leading to double billing.

With the new power plant, the college can now operate more efficiently during power outages, ensuring uninterrupted academic activities.

The commissioning coincided with the college’s matriculation ceremony, a significant event that welcomed newly admitted students into the institution.

Addressing the fresh students, Ag. Principal Dr. Emmanuel Adom Ashun emphasized the importance of academic dedication, self-discipline, and mutual respect.

He urged students to seize every learning opportunity and actively engage in both academic and extracurricular activities.

The matriculation oath, taken by the fresh students, symbolized their commitment to academic excellence and personal development. The event served as a reminder of their responsibility to uphold the institution’s values and contribute positively to society.

With the commissioning of the new power plant, Enchi College of Education reaffirms its commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for students. The institution continues to prioritize infrastructure improvement to enhance academic and professional growth.
