Dr. Augustine Blay has unveiled NPP 4.0, a new phase of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that prioritizes youth leadership and economic transformation.
The event was attended by notable figures including Dr. Kwame Afram (TESCON Patron), Dakua Newman, Patrick Boamah, Mr. Prince Sefa, and Mandela (Deputy Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer).

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of TESCON executives at Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), he urged young people to take charge of Ghana’s future.
Dr. Augustine Blay described NPP 4.0 as a natural progression in the party’s history, likening it to a software upgrade.
He traced the evolution of the NPP from its early foundations in 1897 with the Aboriginal Rights Protection Society, which defended Ghanaian land and identity.
According him, in 1947, the party’s development continued with the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC), which spearheaded the fight for independence.
He stated that the next phase, spanning from 1990 to 2024, was marked by the Danquah Business Club, which championed democracy and Ghana’s multiparty system.
“Now, my brothers and sisters, it is time for NPP 4.0, a party that will lead Ghana’s economic transformation. We have won the battle for land, independence, and democracy—now, we must win the battle for prosperity, job creation, and individual economic empowerment,” Blay declared.
Dr. Blay’s vision for NPP 4.0 prioritizes a technology-driven economy that fosters innovation and entrepreneurial growth.
He underscored the need for reduced bureaucracy, allowing startups and businesses to expand without political bottlenecks.
Additionally, he called for a results-oriented government that focuses on effective leadership rather than rhetoric.
A major aspect of his vision is economic empowerment for all, ensuring equal access to opportunities for young graduates, traders, and market women alike.
Dr Augustine Blay stressed that young people must lead this transformation.
“The future of Ghana does not belong to boardrooms—it belongs to liberated young people with bold ideas, ambitious dreams, a mindset of possibilities, and the courage to create change,” he said.
Dr Blay urged TESCON members to see themselves as the vanguard of NPP 4.0, driving Ghana’s development.
“This is your time. You are not just students—you are the architects of Ghana’s economic revolution. If we build a party that forges unity among its ranks, demands that elders and party leaders prioritize tradition over personal ambition, and delivers results, we will not need to beg for votes; the people will demand our leadership,” he said.
Dr. Augustine Blay concluded with a bold statement: “In NPP 4.0, TESCON is no longer just a political party wing—TESCON is the movement pro max. A force that will not just win elections but will win the future. The time for NPP 4.0 starts now!”
