“NPP MPs in Western North region are not performing” – NDC Chairman claims

The Western North Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Michael Aidoo, has raised concerns over the performance of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Western North region of Ghana.

Michael Aidoo asserted that these MPs have failed to deliver on their promises and responsibilities to their respective constituencies.

He emphasized that despite being in power, the NPP Members of Parliament have not initiated significant developmental projects in their constituencies, leaving constituents disillusioned and disheartened.

Michael Aidoo singled out the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiaso, highlighting that the lackluster performance was evident as the MP opted not to contest in the primaries, fearing defeat due to poor performance.

Furthermore, he criticized the MPs for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai and Sefwi Akontombra, stating that their performance is also lacking.

The Western North Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress lamented the lack of tangible progress in infrastructure and development despite the NPP being in government.

Addressing specific grievances, Michael Aidoo highlighted the dire state of infrastructure in Sefwi Akontombra, citing impassable roads and inadequate facilities.

He criticized the decision of Member of Parliament for the area, Alex Tetteh to construct a corn mill instead of a factory, questioning the employment opportunities it would generate for constituents.

Comparatively, he commended the performance of NDC MPs in the region, noting their dedication to serving their constituents despite not being in power.

He confidently declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is poised to secure victory in all nine constituencies in the Western North region in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
