Chief of Nsuonsua and Kyidomhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Nana Elluo Panyin III, and his elders on Wednesday February, 27 poured Libation and called on the gods to allow the contractors to work on the Nsuonsua road.
“We are calling on you (gods) today to inform you that the Nana Addo led government through Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, MP for Sefwi Wiawso for the first of its kind included Nsuonsua Road in a National Budget and truly the contractors are on site to work and apply bitumen on Nsuonsua road.”
“We are calling on you today that if you hear the sound of machines on the road it is not their interest to hurt or change your normal position but rather applying bitumen on Nsuonsua Kwabenakwa road which links Western North Region and Ashanti Region.” Nana Elluo Panyin III reiterated.
He thanks Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, MP for Sefwi Wiawso and Hon Louis Owusu Agyepong for the good work done within 4 years of their administration.
Sefwi Nsuonsua road has been there since 1992 and successive governments have failed to address our plight but this government has fulfilling his promise and we pray that there will always be money to fund the Nsuonsua Road, Nana Elluo said.
Hon Louis Owusu Agyepong, MCE for Sefwi Wiawso assured Nana Elluo Panyin III that the Nana Addo led government has declared 2020 as the year of roads and will see to it that every contractor who has been awarded a contract will be on site and complete the work within time.
Nsuonsua Kwabenakwa road is 24.3 kilometers road and has been awarded to 4 contractors namely Tony Machineries Kumasi, Woodbuying Ventures-Kumasi, Samprink Hap Ghana Limite Kaneshie, and Declares International Accra.
In total these four contractors will be working on 6 lots of contracts to ensure early completion of Nsuonsua Kwabenakwa road.
Sefwi Nsuonsua is a suburb of Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region and produces cocoa, foodstuffs, timber and many more but has been crying for the bad road since 1992.
Through Nsuonsua you can Bibiani from Sefwi Wiawso within 30 minutes and Ashanti Region through Kwabenakwa within 45 minutes but they have been neglected for successive governments since 1992.
In 2019, Sefwi Nsuonsua-Kwabenakwa Road which is 24.3 kilometers was captured in the Nations Budget.
