Nsuonsua Chief teams up for Free Eye Screening and Medication drive

The Chief of Sefwi Nsuonsua, who doubles as the Kyidomhene of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Nana Elluo Panyin III, has partnered with several organizations to provide a Free Eye Screening and Medication drive to his residents.

The exercise, spearheaded by Kyidomhene in partnership with Vision Spring USA/Ghana, is being conducted in collaboration with Agogo Presby Hospital and Greenshield Hospital.

The collaboration with Vision Spring USA/Ghana brings a wealth of expertise and resources to the initiative to enhance its impact. Vision Spring, known for its dedication to affordable eye care, joins forces with hospitals to ensure comprehensive care is provided.

The exercise aims to address the prevalent eye health issues within the community to ensure that residents have access to essential eye care services.

This initiative is part of the 2024 Sefwi Nsuosua Eluo Festival celebrations, demonstrating the Chief’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of his community.

The eye screening and medication exercise is scheduled to take place from August 9th to 10th, 2024, at the Nsuosua New Palace.

The two-day event will start at 8 AM and conclude at 4 PM each day, providing ample opportunity for residents to benefit from the services offered.

Nana Elluo Panyin III has called on residents of Nsuosua and neighbouring communities to take advantage of this free exercise.

He emphasized the importance of eye health and urged everyone to participate actively.

“Good vision is crucial for daily activities and overall well-being. I encourage all residents to come and get their eyes checked and receive the necessary medications.”

“This is a unique opportunity to address any eye health issues without the burden of cost,” Kyidomhene stated.
