The National Union of Sefwi Students and Alumni (NUSSA), has officially launched its branch in Takoradi Technical University as part of the effort to build a strong student network among the Sefwi’s across the globe.
The launch was chaired by Lawyer Ackaah Gyasi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kendicks Law Firm, Takoradi. The program was themed “Reducing Graduate Unemployment and Projecting Sefwiman, the Role of Sefwi Students”.
Lawyer Ackaah Gyasi speaking at the ceremony urged the youth in Sefwi to arise, learn and work hard to fast track the growth and development of our homeland.
He commended the Paramount Chief of Anhwiaso Traditional Council, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II who doubles as the Western North Region and National House of Chiefs President, for his selfless and great ambition towards the development of Sefwiman and the region at large.
The Matron, Mrs Cynthia Ama Mensah, Senior Lecturer at the Mathematics Department who double as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of TTU commended the executives for having made it possible to organize such a wonderful program to achieve the goal of the association.
The National President of the association (NUSSA), Mr Emmanuel Nkrumah emphatically stated that the main ambition of the association is to strengthen the network among Sefwi students and alumni.
“United we stand, departed we fall, we aimed to bring all students and alumni under one umbrella to seek for rapid growth and development of our dear motherland (Sefwi)”.
In attendance was Lawyer Ackaah Gyasi CEO of Kendicks Law Firm, Mrs Cynthia Ama Mensah, Senior Lecturer at the Mathematics Department, Mr Mathias Gyamfi, Senior Lecturer and Vice Dean of School of Graduate Studies of TTU who is also the Patron of the association (NUSSA), and Mr Emmanuel Nkrumah, the National President of NUSSA.
