Ogyeahohoo urges harmony between Mining Companies and affected communities

The Paramount Chief of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, has called on mining companies to establish peaceful coordination with local communities.

Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II who doubles as President of National House Chief has taken a proactive stance by inviting mining authorities for a crucial meeting scheduled for Monday, November 6, 2023.

Speaking during the Eluo festival at Anhwiaso, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II seized the opportunity to address concerns regarding the ongoing mining operations in the area.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the affected communities are safeguarded during the mining process.

“I have invited the mining authorities for a meeting on Monday. I can see they have started pulling down some houses. I want to make sure they have put all measures in place to secure the safety of the affected communities before they proceed,” Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II emphasized.

The paramount chief further called on all stakeholders, including mining companies, local authorities, and community members, to come together and support the growth and development of the municipality.

“We need development here, and I will call for all hands on deck. This is a collaborative responsibility,” Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II noted.
