Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II, unveils 2025 humanitarian project

The Chief of Sefwi Obeng Mim, Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II, has officially unveiled the 2025 Humanitarian Project spearheaded by Oheneba Foundation Ghana and USA.

This initiative is set to bring substantial benefits to underprivileged school children and elderly women in Ghana, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to education and social welfare.

The Oheneba Foundation, a humanitarian organization operating both in Ghana and the United States, has long been dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations.

The 2025 project aligns with its broader mission of fostering education, supporting the elderly, and empowering communities through sustainable initiatives.

2025 Humanitarian Project: Key Initiatives

The 2025 Humanitarian Project will focus on two major initiatives aimed at supporting education and enhancing the welfare of elderly women in Ghana.

Project 1: Supporting Education

  • Objective: Provide reading books to 250 underprivileged school children in Ghana.
  • Goal: Improve literacy rates and instill a love for reading among young minds.
  • Implementation:
  • Distribution of age-appropriate reading materials to schools in rural and deprived communities.
  • Collaboration with teachers and educational stakeholders to integrate the books into learning programs.
  • Organizing reading clinics and mentorship sessions to enhance literacy skills.

Education is a fundamental pillar of development, and this initiative seeks to bridge the educational gap faced by many children in underserved areas.

Project 2: Empowering Elderly Women

  • Objective: Support 200 elderly women in Ghana with essential resources and care.
  • Goal: Enhance the quality of life and dignity of elderly women in the community.
  • Implementation:
  • Provision of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and healthcare support.
  • Organizing wellness programs and social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Partnering with healthcare providers to ensure elderly women receive medical checkups and proper healthcare.

Elderly women, particularly in rural Ghana, often face significant challenges in accessing basic needs and healthcare. This initiative aims to uplift and support them, ensuring they live dignified and comfortable lives.

Call for Support and Partnership

Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II, in announcing the project, emphasized the importance of collective support in achieving these humanitarian goals.

“At Oheneba Foundation, we believe in empowering the next generation and honoring our elderly. Through these initiatives, we hope to provide hope, dignity, and opportunities to those who need them the most. We invite individuals, organizations, and well-meaning stakeholders to join us in making a difference,” he stated.

The foundation encourages donations, partnerships, and volunteerism to maximize the impact of the project. Individuals and organizations interested in supporting this noble cause can reach out to the foundation through its official channels.
