Samuel Kumi’s hat trick takes Bibiani Goldstars to the top of the League

Samuel Kumi stole the spotlight with a brilliant hat trick as Bibiani Goldstars triumphed 3-0 over Accra Lions in their Week 17 clash of the Ghana Premier League at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

The match started with high intensity, and it was Bibiani Goldstars who made the first breakthrough, as Kumi slotted home after just 16 minutes to give his side the lead.

The Miners continued to dominate possession and create opportunities, while Accra Lions, reeling from the recent dismissal of Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko, struggled to find their rhythm and contain the relentless pressure from the hosts.

The Lions’ defense continued to falter as Kumi struck again in first-half stoppage time, doubling Goldstars’ advantage.

The second half was a continuation of the first half, with Bibiani Goldstars maintaining their attacking momentum.

Samuel Kumi completed his hat trick just four minutes into the second half with a clinical finish, sealing a comprehensive victory for his team.

The win propelled Bibiani Goldstars to the top of the Ghana Premier League standings at the end of the first round with 33 points.

Meanwhile, Accra Lions’ woes deepened as they dropped to the bottom of the league table, continuing their difficult season.
