Bernard Gyebi Blay, the District Chief Executive (DCE) and NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bia West, has made a passionate appeal to voters to support his candidacy for Parliament, promising significant development for the district.
Speaking to a spirited crowd in Debiso during the visit of Mrs. Samira Bawumia, the 2nd Lady of the Republic of Ghana, he expressed his gratitude for their unwavering patience and dedication.
Bernard Gyebi Blay urged the community to actively campaign for both himself and Dr. Bawumia, stressing that this year presents a unique opportunity for change.
“I am pleading with you to go out there and campaign for Blay and Dr. Bawumia because this year, it is possible,” he emphasized.
He highlighted his past achievements, including securing positions for over a hundred individuals in various institutions such as the police, military, BNI, Cocoa Board, local government, and GES.
“Through His Excellency, Dr. Bawumia, I have been able to help many secure jobs. If Dr. Bawumia becomes president, job opportunities will improve significantly in Bia West,” Blay asserted.
Reflecting on past elections since 1992, Bernard Gyebi Blay acknowledged that progress has been slow and challenges persist.
“We have been voting in one direction, but our problems have persisted. I am confident that with your support and campaigning, we can make a difference,” he said.
Emphasizing that the election is not just about the NPP or NDC but about the future of Bia West, Bernard Blay urged everyone to support his campaign and that of Dr. Bawumia.
He also provided an update on the ongoing astro turf project, promising its completion by December and the addition of two more astro turfs if Dr. Bawumia is elected as president.
Bernard Blay concluded with a call for grassroots support, stating, “We will be doing door-to-door campaigns, and I am confident that for the first time, the NPP will win the Bia West seat.”
